Alfred “Crayfish” Collins answered the Master’s call on Thursday, November 18, 2016 while at the Jackson Medical Center, Jackson, AL. He was born January 8, 1948 to Walter and Ada Robinson Collins. He was a soldier in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver for the Greer’s grocery chain. He loved fishing and barbequing. He was a member of the Little Sunflower #3 Baptist Church in Sunflower, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ada Collins; a sister, Emma Lou Washington; and two brothers, Sye Collins and J. D. Collins.
Alfred leaves to forever cherish his memories two daughters, Tammy (Courtney) Rochelle, Montgomery, AL, and Doris Thomas, McIntosh, AL; six grandchildren; six brothers, Rev. Robert Collins, Walter Collins, Jr., Cleon (Mattie) Collins, Leon (Janis) Collins, Willis (Luella) Collins, and Clenton (Eugenia) Collins all of Leroy, AL; two sisters, Debbie (Hubert) Toliver, SC, and Lucile (Wilbert) Gamble, Phenix City, AL; a devoted friend, Fannie Abram; devoted cousins, Celestine Fikes and Frank Webb, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
