A 1994 graduate of Leroy High School, he made his living for a period of time at the Ciba Geigy Plant in McIntosh, AL.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Melvin and Mary (Adams) Norwood and Hazel Richard.

Left to forever cherish his precious memories are his loving and devoted children, Tevin McRand of Citronelle, AL, ShaKayla Jenkins of Mt. Vernon, AL, and Kimora Jenkins of Mobile, AL; his loving and devoted mother, Barbara J. Singleton of Saraland, AL; four sisters, NiKissia Jenkins of Griffin, GA, Kirsten (Jermaine) Billups of Greenville, SC, Paulette Brown and Cecilia Brown both of Leroy, AL; two brothers, Melvin Brown, III of Leroy, AL, and Terrence Brown of TX; two grandchildren, Kristen and Madden; a grandfather, Melvin "M.C." (Linda) Brown of Leroy, AL; a grandmother, Annie Pearl Hill of McIntosh, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including T. Washington, Scott, Joshua, and his dog, Coco Chanel.
