Craig Collins Obituary

Craig T. Collins, a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of McIntosh, AL., was born to Catherine James and Jimmy Collins Sr., on June 21, 1959. Craig transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 while at the Jackson Medical Center to his eternal home.

Craig was a graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School in Mobile, AL. After graduating High School, he fathered his career and joined the US Army for eight years, and later received an honorable discharge. Craig worked at Sara Lee Bakery for many years until his health began to fail and he became disabled. Craig enjoyed spending time with his family and friends where he was remembered as Buddy and Tonka Truck because he loved to work with his hands to build houses, do yard work and plant flowers. He was a member of New Free Holiness Church of God, Chatom, AL.

Craig was preceded in death by his father: Jimmy Collins Sr.; brother, Jimmy Collins Jr., and sister: Celestine Gage.

 Craig T. Collins leaves to cherish his memories his faithful and devoted wife of twenty-eight years, Rosetta Collins; two sons; Elder Javoris Brown and Craig Collins Jr., both of McIntosh, AL.; one daughter ; Ka'Diedra Collins of McIntosh, AL; a loving and devoted mother; Catherine Collins of Eight Mile, AL.; three sisters; Wanda Hampton of Mobile, AL., Kimely (Chris) Mincey, Tyjan Gorden both of Eight Mile, AL.; one brother, Patrick (Debra) Collins of Moss Point, MS.; three brothers-in-law; James Gage of Eight Mile, AL., Phillip (Pearlie) Brown of McIntosh, AL., Joe (Pamela) Brown of Norcross, GA.; nine sisters-in-law; Overseer Bettye (Edwin) Burke of Chickasaw, AL., Linden Scott, Fannie (Leroy) Adams, Dianna Brown, Erma (Nolan) Hardy all of McIntosh, AL., Pastor Lillie Bolar, of Norcross, GA., Billie (Patrick) Barnes, Monica (Danny) Thomas both of McIntosh, AL., Arletha (Melvin) Brown of Mobile, AL., Debra (Patrick) Collins of Moss Point, MS., Overseer Kimberly Brown of Theodore, AL.; four godchildren; LaShunda Collins of Mobile, AL., Jacqueline Williamson, Veronnie Barnes, Gabrilyn Chapman all of McIntosh, AL., a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including devoted friends; Charlie Williamson, Albert Butler, George Henderson, Kelly Joe Williamson, Dianna Brown, Vanessa Kemp, Charles Reed, Brian Roberts, Chris Lett, Erma and Nolan Hardy and family, Billie and Partick Barnes and family.
