Doris Jean (Cody) Harris

Doris Jean Harris Cody traded time for eternity on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 while at her Whatley, AL residence. Born January 18, 1948 to Arthur, Sr. and Bertha Mae Dickinson Cody, she was 71 years of age. She was a graduate of the Clarke County Public School System. AOH Church of God in Whatley, AL was her church home and cooking and gardening brought her great pleasure.

Preceding her in death are her father, Arthur Cody, Sr.; brothers, Wilbert Cody and Gilbert Cody; step-father, Johnny Ezell; and brother-in-law, tommie McKinstry.

Left to forever cherish her precious memories are two daughters, Cheryl Cody, Whatley, AL and Sherrie Hicks, Grove Hill, AL; six sisters, Elaine (Joseph) Taylor, Augusta, GA, Ann Quinn, Minneapolis, MN, Brenda (Henry) Horn, Tonya Ezell, and Kim Smith, all of Whatley, AL, and Shenoria (Danny) Burkhalter, Tuscaloosa, AL; four brothers, Jackie (Kim) Ezell, Indianapolis, IA, Eddie Ezell, Minneapolis, MN, Dennis (Katie) Ezell, Whatley, AL, and Alton Cody, Tuscaloosa, AL; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
