Effie Mae (Dickinson) Wright

Effie M. Dickerson Wright, a native of Suggsville, AL. was born to the union of Mr. & Mrs. Cravy Dickinson on May 14, 1940. Our heavenly Father called her to rest in His bosom early in the morning on November 12, 2018.

Effie joined Wayman Chapel A.M.E. in Suggsville at a very early age where she served faithfully in her youth and adulthood. Later in life she became a member of the Church of Acts in Mount Vernon, AL. where she served until her passing. She attended school at Racetrack Elementary, Mackey Branch School and later attended Wilson Hall High School. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Edwin Wright, Jr. and from that union six children were born. Effie was employed by Dumas Manufacturing and White Smith Lumber Company.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Edwin; daughter, Janice and son Elbert.

Effie leaves to cherish her percious memories four daughters: Debra Wright of Suggsville, AL., Shelia (Derric) Jackson of Gainestown, AL., Shirley Wright of Monroeville, AL., Jacqueline (Roger) Griffin of Jackson, AL., one son, Willie Wrighyt of Manila, AL., one son-in-love; Robert Mason of Suggsville, AL., one sister, Annie Cunningham of Amityville, NY; ten grandchildren; Tiesha, Derric, Tremaine, Jamil, Trenece, Ryan, Rachel, Abrasia, Amber and Natasha; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
