Gretchen Lemetrius Jackson Graham, a native of Jackson, AL traded time for eternity on Friday, July 19, 2019 while at her Montgomery, AL home. Born December 19, 1961 to Rev. Tommie Lee, Sr. and Elizabeth Pearson Jackson, she was fifty seven years of age. A graduating member of the Jackson High School Class of 1980, she served as co-head cheerleader of the Jackson Aggies. She furthered her education at Hobson Community College in Thomasville, AL majoring in Nursing. Upon graduating, she moved to Detroit, MI where she began her career as an LPN at University Health in Livonia, MI until 2014 when her health failed. She united with Better Covenant Apostolic Church in Michigan under the leadership of Pastor Eugene Smith. In April of 2018, she moved back to Jackson, AL until December 2018 at which time she moved to Montgomery, AL.
Preceding her in death were her father, Rev. Tommie Lee Jackson, Sr.; brothers, Tommie Lee Jackson, Jr. and Timmie Lee Jackson; and grandson, Dy'on Chaney.
Gretchen leaves to forever cherish her precious memories her sons, Donald Ray (Vera) Chaney, Jr., Detroit, MI, and Travis Deon (Sandra) Chaney, Montgomery, AL; granddaughters, Daniyah Jazelle Chaney, and Angel Chaney; grandsons, Donnell Rayshawn Chaney, Greyson Liam Chaney, and Harper Lee Chaney; her mother, Elizabeth Pearson Jackson, Montgomery, AL; three sisters, Delia Ann Hunter, Montgomery, AL, Mary Louise (Michael) Gulley, Leroy, AL, and Kenetha Vontrel Jackson, Jackson, AL; raised as a brother, Anthony (Vera) Camel, Jackson, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
