Mother Ida Faye Martin, sixty-seven, a native of Grove Hill, AL entered into eternal rest on November 12, 2018 at Jackson Healthcare Facility, Jackson, AL. She was born May 27, 1951 to Ardell, Sr. and Allie Dee Law Brown. Wilson Hall High School is where she pursued her early education. Clarksville AOH Church of God in Grove Hill, AL under the leadership of Eld. Lucille Henry was her church home, where she served dutifully in many capacities including Sunday School Superintendant and Shepherd Mother.
Preceding her in death are her daughter, Angela Janett Martin McMullen; parents, Ardell and Allie Brown, Sr.; brother, Lee Edward Brown; and two sisters, Tina Adams and Gladys George.
Mother Faye leaves to forever cherish her memories are: her loving children, four sons, Grady (Glonetter) Martin, Jr., Jackson, AL, Marvin (Felicia) Martin and Kirt (Kendra) Martin both of Gainestown, AL, and Jason Martin, Grove Hill, AL; one daughter, Zanetta (Eld. Charles) Watters, Jackson, AL; one sister, Denisal (Will) McCalpine, Snellville, GA; five brothers, Sam Brown, Dixon Mills, AL, Ardell (Edna) Brown, Jr., Baton Rouge, LA, Chester (Lillian) Adams, Grove Hill, AL, Scottie Adams, New Orleans, LA, an Eddie (Minnie) Adams, Jackson, AL; eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one aunt, Ella Lee Martin; two caregivers, Sheila Coats, and Evette Harmons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
