McNeal Washington

McNeal "Duck" Washington departed this life on Friday, November 15, 2019 while at his Gainestown community residence. Born October 24, 1936 to Johnny and Jennie Marks Washington, he was 83. Early in life he united with the Antioch AME Church in Gainestown, AL. Pulpwooding was his way of life and raising chickens and dogs were his other interests along with family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Carrie Lee Washington; son, McNeal Washington, Jr.; daughter, Mary James; grandsons, Asie Washington, and Pierrie Washington; parents, Johnny and Jennie Washington; and siblings, Lee Arthur Washington, Oscar Washington, Sarah Williams, Jennie Lee Williams, and Lorene Mosley.

Left to forever cherish his precious memories are his children, Thelma (Eligha) Washington, Anita (Robert Williams) Washington, Ernest Neal (Luverne Williams) Washington, Arthur (Van Lee Williams) Washington, Lendon (Sarah Williams) Washington, Martin Luther (Ernestine Dumas) Washington, Victoria (Jerome WIlliams) Washington, Vickie Washington, Carrie (Kenneth Johnson) Washington, Mildred (Tracy Williams) Washington, Wendy (Stacy Jackson) Washington, and Marsha Washington, all of Gainestown, and Terette (Asie Pritchett) Washington, Walker Springs, AL; raised as his own, Rager Washington, Lawrence Williams, Jahtavian Washington, Nita Washington, and Kayla Washington; two aunts, Mattie Lee Washington, OH and Clyde Simpson, Suggsville, AL; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
