Melvin Charles Young

Melvin Charles "MC" Young, a resident of the Bladon Springs community in Silas, AL made his earthly transition Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the home of his beloved sister and caregiver, Hattie Thomas of Coffeeville, AL. Born Augus 22, 1956 to Willie Mae and Jimmie B. Young, he was 62 years of age.

Melvin worked for Lassiter Lumber Company for several years. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cleaning yards for people around the area. He did beautiful work.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Elisha Bush Young; mother and father, Willie Mae and Jimmie B. Young; and sisters, Bessie Young and Willies E. Young.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Troy Brook of Mendenhall, MS; four sisters, one devoted, Hattie Y. Thomas of Coffeeville, AL, Lillie Mae Young and Betty Cunningham both of Baldon Springs, AL and Mary (Ben) Lewis of Thomasville, AL; three brothers, Livingston Young of Coffeeville, AL, Ivory (Sabrina) Young of Mobile, AL and James (Janice) Young of Buckatunna, MS; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Bush and Cecil Bush, both of Millry, AL; a host of nieces, one devoted, Jamie Hill and nephews. Melvin was BLESSED with many friends and other relatives. Three very special friends were Earnest William, Mack Osborne and Marion Westbrook; one truly devoted friend was Curtis Frank who stuck by his side until God called him home.
