Memphis Tennessee Jackson

Memphis Tennessee Jackson, Jr., a native of the Barlow Bend community, traded time for eternity on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Jackson Health Care Facility in Jackson, AL.  Born December 15, 1952 to Memphis, Sr. and Minnie Lee Barnes Jackson, he was 66 years of age.

Memphis confessed Christ and united with the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Barlow Bend, where Rev Tommie Moore is pastor. Preceding him in death were his parents, Memphis and Minnie Jackson; and devoted nephew, Larry Pickens.

Left to forever cherish his precious memories are three sisters, Sarah Pickens, Jackson, AL, Aquilla Jackson, Barlow Bend, AL and Dinah (Clauzell) Stokes, Mobile, AL; two brothers, Charlie (Ella) Jackson, Barlow Bend, AL, and Willie (Betty) Jackson, Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a devoted one, Leon Robinson.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 3, from 4 - 6 p.m. Service Saturday May 4, at 12-noon at Union Chapel Baptist Church in Barlow Bend, with the Rev. Tommie Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
