Minnie Williams Christmas Johnson traded time for eternity on Monday, September 23, 2019 surrounded by family while at her Coffeeville, AL residence. Born to Alonzo and Idella Grayson Williams, she was 82 years of age.
At an early age she united with the Union Baptist Church in Coffeeville, AL where she was very active, serving on the Hospitality Committee, Scholarship Committee, and in the Missionary Department. Working hospitality for the Hilton Hotel Chain was her way of providing for her family. Fishing and gardening were things that brought her great peace.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Wesley Johnson; three daughters, Ramina Faye Christmas, Gloria Williams, and Debra Moore; parents, Alonzo and Idella Williams; two grandchildren, Tristica Moore, and Tiffany Howard; brother, John Williams; and two sisters, Bessie Williams, and Bernice Fluker.
Left to forever cherish her precious memories are a son, Eddie Christmas, Coffeeville, AL; two daughters, Marilyn (Ocie) Howard, Murfreesboro, TN, and Edwina (Steve) Tucker, Birmingham, AL; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
