Tamisha Johnson Obituary

Tamisha Monique Johnson transitioned into eternity to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 2, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family.  Born June 6 1973 in Chatom, AL, she was the loving and devoted daughter of Nelson Johnson and Bettye L. Sims. 

     Tamisha accepted Christ at an early age, uniting with the Little Sunflower Baptist Church #3 in Sunflower under the leadership of Rev. Robert Collins.  She was a graduating member of the Leroy High School Class of 1991 and was affectionately loved by her fellow classmates and teachers.

     Preceding her in death are her grandparents, A. G. and Rena Johnson.

     Left to forever cherish her fun and precious memories are loving and devoted fiancé, Anthony D. Lang, Creola, AL; the three “love of her life” daughters, Myeisha (Curtis) Johnson, Sunflower, AL, Antonia Lang and Antavia Lang, both of Creola, AL; her “ray of sunshine” granddaughter, Aaliah Johnson, Sunflower, AL; loving father, Nelson Johnson, Winn, AL; loving and devoted mother, Bettye L. Sims, Sunflower, AL; six sisters, Tanika (Nicole) Sims, Bayou la Batre, AL, Tashika (Machaerus) Sims, Sunflower, AL, Wykeisha Pritchett, Sunflower, AL, Lethia Martin, OH, Porshia Johnson, Millry, AL, and Madi Dowell, Auburn, AL; one brother, Flamon Johnson, Montgomery, AL; grandparents, Ben and Mary Sims, Sr., Sunflower, AL; two nieces, Makera Pernell and Egypt Pernell; one nephew, Armoni Martin; uncles, Ben (Angela) Sims, Jr. and Willie (Betty) Johnson, Montgomery, AL, David (Sheena) Sims, Sr., Sunflower, AL, Dexter (Tera) Sims, Toddtown, AL, and Clifford (Lela) Johnson, Winn, AL; aunts, Sharon (Clifton) Brown, Regina (Al) Portis, and Angela Sims all of Sunflower, AL, Myra Brown, Mobile, AL, Ethel Mae Morrissette and Mary Ellis both of Winn, AL, Annie (David) Franklin, Montgomery, AL, and Rose (Marvin) Jackson, Jackson, AL; devoted cousins, Erica Brown, Jennifer Black, Tiffany Brown, and A. J. Portis all of Sunflower, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends including devoted ones, Latricia Reed Lovick, Candy Weaver, Shaleen McCulland, and Marunda Baldwin.
