Thelma Jane Thomas Williams was born in Winn, AL on September 26, 1929 to the late Shelly and Tennie Thomas. She departed this life on December 21, 2019 at Crowne Health Care Center in Jackson, AL.
Thelma confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Winn, AL. She lived an active life in her church and community. She was a former Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer of the Sunday School, and Mother of the Church.
Her hobbies were sewing and piecing quilts.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Grant Williams; parents, Shelly and Tennie Thomas; sisters, Minnie Mae McConnell, and Carlean Thomas; brother, Fred Thomas; and son-in-law, Jimmy L. Pugh.
Left to forever cherish her memories are two devoted daughters, Velniece Pugh, Toddtown, AL and Zelda (Norman) Armstead, Winn, AL; three devoted sons, Lathonia (Cynthia) Thomas, Lithonia, GA, Burvis (Patricia) Thomas, Baytown, TX and Gerald (Ramona) Williams, Winn, AL; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one devoted sister, Edrice Thomas, Lake Charles, LA; one devoted brother, Collie (Velma) Thomas, Lake Charles, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
