Wilson Carstaffin Obituary

Wilson Carstaffin, Sr., traded time for eternity on Monday, July 29, 2019 while at his residence in Jackson, AL. Born June 5, 1928 to Clara Smith and Earnest Carstarphen, Sr., he was ninety-one years of age.

Wilson was a member of the St. Union Baptist Church in Jackson, AL. where he served on the Usher Board and was a member of the Jackson Male Chorus until his health failed. He enjoyed being a taxi driver, fixing things around the home and providing for his family. He was employed by Smith Lumber Company, McCorquodale Lumber, and Boise Lumber before retiring at age sixty-five.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Bell Carstaffin; parents, Earnest Sr. and Clara Bell Carstarphen; siblings, Joe Carstarphen, Leroy Carstarphen, Leroy Carstarphen, John Henry Carstarphen, Freddie Carstarphen, Rosie Lee Lundy and Minnie L. Mae King.

Left to forever cherish his memories are children, Pamela (David) Williams of Las Vegas, NV, Daisy Martin and Jerry (Georgia) Houston both of Jackson, AL., Jimmy Lee (Ann) Martin of Texas and Wilson Carstaffin, Jr., of GA; nine siblings; twenty-five grandchildren; three devoted, Victoria Patrick, JerDairay L. Martin and Danielle D. Martin; thirty-five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including two devoted friends, Stanley Johnson and Dana Rodgers, Sr.
