Allen Fitzgerald Horn was born to the late Mattie Howze Horn and Johnnie Horn Sr. on July 2, 1964 in Grove Hill. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Grove Hill. On April 3, 2026, Allen was called home to receive his heavenly wings.
Allen was a graduate of Clarke County High School. He was a talented handyman. The kind of man who believed there was nothing he couldn’t fix with enough time, tools, and confidence. Family and friends knew that if something was broken, Allen would not only repair it but probably explain exactly how it happened and how he would've built it better himself.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Johnnie Horn Jr.; and sister, Agatha Horn.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, DeMario King of Jackson; three sisters, Delores (Brent) McCauley of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Venita Love of Cleveland, Ohio, and LaVenes (Johnny) Mitchell of Montgomery; one brother, Tony (Candice) Horn of Mobile, AL; three devoted nieces, LaChandra (Demetrius) Turner of Trussville, NaShetta (Jermaine) Rowell of Stockbridge, Ga. and Breanna Mitchell of Montgomery; a devoted nephew, Dieago Bernard of Grove Hill; devoted cousins, Vanessa Taylor and Curtis Dickinson; devoted friends, Leonard Martin, Reginald Pippen and Ava Ely Pugh; as well as a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
