Annie Lou Armstead

Annie Lou Armstead of Whatley was born June 2, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wilson Sr. She lived a prosperous life and enjoyed her family. Annie departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 at her home.

Annie was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Whatley. Her hobbies were gardening, folding clothes and housekeeping.

In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Armstead; three brothers, Dave Wilson Jr., Ira Wilson and Ruben Ben Wilson; and four sisters, Ruby Harris, Bertha Wright, Lovie Lynum and Lenora Denton.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Joseph (Karen) Coleman of Whatley and Willie (Faye) Wilson of Manila; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Minnie Simpson of Whatley; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives a devoted great niece, Debra Mose and a devoted friend Ella Barnett.
