Annie Corine Betties, a native of the Suggsville community and a resident of Los Angeles, Calif., gained her eternal reward Saturday, June 13, 2020. Annie was born to Alex Betties and Ida Betties in Suggsville March 27, 1923; she was 97 years of age.
She confessed Christ at an early age and was educated in the Clarke County School System. Later, she relocated to Los Angeles, Calif., where she was employed as a dedicated factory worker as a seamstress in downtown Los Angeles for more than 30 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; five sisters, Christine Betties Franklin, Margaret Betties Lyles, Lucile Betties Thomas, Rosetta Betties Harris and Ollie Mae Betties Dawson; two brothers, Lindsey Betties and Jacob “Jack” Betties.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two devoted nieces, Barbara J. Betties (Robert) Alexander of Birmingham and Evelyn (Billy) Hall of Los Angeles; close friend for many years, Mr. Chuck of Los Angeles; special friend, Edna Coleman of Los Angeles; with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
