Annie Philon Gilmore was born on July 9, 1948, to the late Guy and Ruthie Philon. She made her earthly transition on Friday, October 7, 2022, surrounded by her family. She joins her husband, James Daniel Gilmore, whom she loved dearly, in sweet rest. She accepted Christ at an early age at Shady Grove Baptist Church. She later joined St. Paul Baptist Church and was a devoted member for many years.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents; two siblings, James and Henry Earl Philon; and stepson, Micheal Gilmore.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one devoted son, Erick (Peggy) Philon of Shady Grove, AL; one devoted daughter, Feleshia (James) Williams of Jackson, AL; two loving stepsons, Tyrone Gilmore of Detroit, MI, and Ryland (Elena) Gilmore of Atlanta, GA; six devoted siblings, James Lewis “J.L” (Annie Bell) Philon of Montgomery, AL, Hubert (Erma) Philon of Mobile, AL, Alice Philon, Charles (Delsena) Philon, Levone Philon Mcgrew, and Carrie Steward, all of Silas, AL; grandchildren, Randy, Erick, Jr., Sharell, Chrishundra, Raven, Moesha, Erin, Shakeydra, Jakedra, Brandy, Jada, Jasmine, and Riley; eight great-grandchildren; one aunt, Eveleen (George) Roscoe of Millry, AL; three sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn (Al) Jarvis of Montgomery, AL, Emmie (Pervis) Calhoun of Grove Hill, AL, and Racheal Moore of Jackson; three brothers-in-law, George (Mary) Gilmore and Jessie (Hazel) Gilmore, both of Coffeeville, AL, and Johnny (Sandra) Robinson of Jackson, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
