Calvin Pritchett Obituary

Calvin Eugene Pritchett of Walker Springs, AL, began his earthly journey on August 12, 1956 to the proud parentage of Ruthie and Rollie Pritchett, Sr. Death's angel came to claim him on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his earthly home.

Calvin was a graduating member of the Jackson High School Class of 1975 and supported his family through his work in the logging business. Additionally he was a very experienced mechanic. Accepting Christ at an early age, he united with the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Walker Springs, AL, under the leadership of Rev. Eddie Thomas and later united with the St. Luke Baptist Church in Walker Springs, AL, under the leadership of Rev. Bobby White. Spending time with family and friends and watching his favorite Westerns, particularly including Clint Eastwood, were his joy. He was a member of White Hall Masonic Lodge 951.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ruthie and Rollie Pritchett, Sr.; four brothers, Richard Pritchett, Elisha Pritchett, Clarence Pritchett, and Willie Ray Pritchett; one sister, Mildred Moore; his mother-in-law, Louise Lewis; three nephews; a son-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.

Left to forever cherish his precious memories are his loving wife, Susie Lewis Pritchett, Walker Springs, AL; two sons, Calvin (Denise Scott) Pritchett, Walker Springs, AL, and Christopher (Christine) Pritchett, Augusta, GA; two daughters, Francine Washington and devoted daughter, Krystal Boochie Pritchett, both of Walker Springs, AL; seven grandchildren, NeKenya (Granny), Cameron (Block), Kimora, Christopher, Jr. (Lil Man), Kirah (Lil Mama), Trinity, and Victor, Jr. (V. J.); three great grandchildren, Kenyon (Blue), Kelis, and Tyler, Jr.; six brothers, Rawleigh Pritchett, Jr., Clausell (Peggy) Pritchett, Sr., Waymon (Gladys) Pritchett, McAuther Pritchett, Kenneth Pritchett, and Asie (Terette Washington) Pritchett all of Walker Springs, AL; six sisters, Helen (Bennie) Council, Choctaw Bluff, AL, Viola (Ray) Smith, Mobile, AL, Velma P. Leggett and Sadie P. Harris both of Walker Springs, AL, Valerie P. (Leonard) Jackson, and Katherine P. (Gary) Pugh both of Jackson, AL;  one aunt, Daisy Hunt, Alma, AL; one uncle, Bobby (Hester) Kemp, Mobile, AL; one sister-in-law; four brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, James Simon, and David (Kapp) Scott.
