Carmelle Marie Dupre’

On Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at the young age of 57, Carmelle Marie Dupre’ went to be with the Lord.

Carmelle was the oldest daughter of Gracita Vixamar and Jacques Dupree. She was born on Sept. 18, 1963 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gracita Vixamar.

Carmelle attended Far Rockaway High School where she met the love of her life, Charlie Jackson Jr. Shortly thereafter they had their children, Latoya and Charlie Dupre’. She instantly became a part of the family even before they were married in 1989.

After the passing of her mother in 1997, Carmelle and her three children relocated to Chicago to be close to her father. They lived in Chicago for four years before she relocated back to the Bronx, where she was reunited with Charlie Jackson Jr. Carmelle, who most referred to as Marie, Caramel and Hun by those who loved her, was loved by many because of her kind and loving heart. She sacrificed a lot for her loved ones and those she cared about.

Carmelle leaves to cherish her memory her father, Jacques Dupree; her love, Charlie Jackson Jr.; children, Latoya Dupre’, Charlie Dupre’ and Medgine Mede; brothers, Jackson (Miriame) Dupre’, Ronald Vixamar and Luce Simon-Williams, Rodney (Janet) Jean-Baptiste and Narcis (Latoya) Dupre’; sister-in-love, Alese Jackson; with a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
