Carolyn Causey Pickett - born July 2, 1946, in Silas, Alabama, to the late Nathan and Carrie Causey. On Thursday 21, 2025, in Mobile AL,Carolyn passed away peacefully in her sleep, departing this life on earth, for her eternal home to be with the Lord.
Carolyn was born and raised in Silas and in her late teens, she moved away to Tampa Florida. After approximately two decades, she returned to her cherished hometown of Silas, AL. While in Tampa FL, Carolyn was initiated into the Order of Eastern Star and served for over a decade. Carolyn was a proud member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she devoted her service in the church choir. She was a wife, a sister, an auntie, church member and a friend.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one brother - Rev. Arrie (Helen) Causey of Mobile AL, a brother- in - law Joe Louis Thompson, of Silas AL, a devoted cousin- friend, Belinda Taylor of Silas AL, a devoted nephew Dec Leroy (Latrisha) Rankin SR of Mobile AL and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in her death by her husband Jerome Pickett, four sisters, Mary Causey Williams, Bettie Causey Rankin, Helen Causey Thompson, and Esther Causey; and four brothers, Ernest Nathan Causey, George Houston Causey, Joe Louis Causey, and Clarence Edward Causey , as well as three siblings from childhood.
While on this earthly journey, Carolyn lived a life filled with love for her faith, family, and community. She leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, and fun memories.
