Carrie Dell Hayden

Carrie Dell Montgomery Hayden was born Nov. 27, 1938 to the late Frozene and Nathaniel Montgomery. She departed this life and gained her heavenly wings Friday, Feb. 4, 2022.

Carrie accepted Christ at an early age and united with Good Hope Baptist Church of Gainestown. Later in life, she attended St. John Baptist Church. She was a member of the 1963 graduating class of Harper High School. She was employed at Arrington Nursing Home, now Jackson Health Care Facility, for a number of years.

Carrie Dell will be forever cherished by her son, Samuel (Gwen) Montgomery of the Salitpa community of Jackson; four grandchildren, Kevin Montgomery, TaMarcus Burden, Keith (Mary Ann) Montgomery and Tyrell Jackson; three sisters, Rosie Lee Mitchell of Mobile, Mary Alice Fox of Gainestown and Bessie McClain of Jackson; five great-grandchildren; two devoted nieces, Katherine Fox and Sandra McClain; one devoted nephew, Julius McClain; two special friends, Sandra Ludgood and James Hayden; with a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
