Carrie Reed Jenkins was born on Sept. 21, 1963 to Dan Reed, Jr. and Iletha Reed.
Carrie was a lifelong resident of McIntosh, AL where she led life full of Love, Joy and Fulfillment. Carrie attended McIntosh High School and was a proud graduate of the class of 1981. Furthermore, she dedicated numerous years to her career, holding positions with Olin, Brown & Root, Praxair and Huntsman in McIntosh.
Beyond her professionnal commitments carrie cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, siblings as well as others family members and friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Iletha Reed; father Dan Reed, Jr.; two brothers; Dan Reed III and Michael Dewayne Reed.
Carrie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Eric Jenkins Sr.; her loving and devoted son, Eric (Alexis) Jenkins Jr., two grandsons: Cordell (CJ) Jenkins and Kire Merity; three granddaughters: Arkaida Jackson, Allie Merity and Lia Hicks: three sisters: Lela Reed and Latonya (James) Reed and Kenyetta Reed; four brothers: Bobby (Lorene) Reed, Dewayne (Tanja) Reed Sr., and Melvin (Lawanda) Thomas; three uncles; Oscar (Dorothy) Reed, Aaron (Virchus) Reed and John (Diane) Reed; three aunts: Inell Jones, Annie Ruth Williams and Annie Pearl (Philip) Brown. She leaves behind a father-in-law, Johnnie (Inez) Jenkins; two sisters-in-law Toni (Emmett) Ward and Targi Greene; three brothers-in-law; Johnnie (Renona) Jenkins, John (Tasha) Greene, and Anthony (Vanessa) Barnes; five goddaughters: Eric Pugh,Veronica Barnes, Abigail Sullivan, Tytianna Barnes, and Shaliqua Thomas; two godson: Ladarrious Chaney and Demetris Reed; two devoted nephews: Dewayne (Shanease) Reed Jr., and Jeremiah Lang; two devoted friends: Betty Adams and Verlene Reed; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
