Charles Portis

Charles Edward Portis departed this life December 19, 2018, at Kensington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Mobile, AL.  He was born November 17, 1947, to the union of Lee and Sarah Todd Portis.  The seventy-one year old, and lifetime resident, became a member of Pine Chapel Baptist Church #2 in the Toddtown Community.  

Charles was an avid Auburn Tiger fan, and loved spending time at family gatherings and being with friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lee and Sarah Portis; three sisters, Nonie Mae Portis Henderson, Grosetta Portis Boulder, and Jaunita Portis Johnson; and three brothers, Ronnie Portis, Curtis Lee Portis, and Mack Portis.

Left to forever cherish his precious memories are his pride and joy, daughter, Shawanda Leonard of Ellenwood, GA; three sisters, Mary (Zachary) Penegar of Port Allen, LA, Helen Portis of Los Angeles, CA, and Eltherine Crump of Fairburn, GA; one brother, Jamie Lee Portis of Toddtown, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
