Charlie Emerson McGaster was born Sept. 10, 1979 in Jackson to Ella and Charlie Jackson. He departed this life Friday, Nov. 13, 2020 at his family home.
Charlie graduated from Jackson High School in the Class of 1999. He continued to further his education and skills with the Jobs Corps.
His hobbies included fishing and hunting, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Charlie is survived by his parents, Ella and Charlie Jackson; sisters, Carla McGaster, Felesha McGaster, Erica McGaster, Merika McGaster and Victoria Jackson; brothers, Jessie Jackson and Jerome Jackson; nieces, Akiah Washingotn, Shamya Jackson, Makayla Thomas, Jonisha Clarke and Karmyn Jackson; nephews, Justavian Crayton and Davon McGaster; grandmother, Claudia McClain; with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories one god-child, Zavion Armstead; and five devoted friends, Leroy Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Xavier McClain, Markesis Calhoun, Thomas Curtis and Big Bart.
Public viewing will be Friday, Nov. 20, from 1 until 6 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson, AL. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2:30 p.m., at St. Matthew No. 1 of Manila, with the Rev. Henry Frown
