Clint Brown Sr., a native of Rockville and a resident of Sunflower, transitioned into eternal rest Feb. 25, 2020 while at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson. Born Jan. 8, 1933 to Jessie and Steve Brown, he was 87 years of age.
Clint was a faithful member of Little Sunflower No. 3 Baptist Church in Sunflower, where he served as a deacon until his declining health. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Curtis Brown Sr.; daughter, Lori Brown Williams; granddaughter, Carola Brown; brother, Steve Brown; mother-in-law, Ella Sims; brother-in-law, John Simpson; and goddaughter, Tamisha Johnson.
Left to cherish his loving memories is his loving and devoted wife, Aslean Brown of Sunflower; six sons, Clent (Vickie) Brown Jr. of Rockville; Sam (Dendra) Brown of Toddtown, Willie (Beryl James) Brown of Sunflower, Steve (Donna) Brown Sr. of Jackson, Rodney Brown of Columbiana and Michael Brown of Wagarville; two daughters, Elnora (Ray) Hunt of Sunflower and Sherri (Eddie) Satterfield of Sunflower; one devoted granddaughter reared as his own, Patricia (Phylon) Hatfield of Valley; two godsons, Clinton (Regina) Collins of Leroy and Jeremy Sims of Sunflower; one sister, Ophelia Simpson of Sunflower; sister-in-law, Mary Brown of Sunflower; brother-in-law, Jessie James of Sunflower; daughter-in-law, Minnie Brown of Douglasville, Ga.; son-in-law, Archie Williams Sr. of Rockville; 32 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and an abundance of friends.
