Daisy Scruggs Williams - Sellers

Daisy Scruggs Williams - Sellers was born October 23, 1934 in Coffeeville, AL to the late Susie Mitchell Scruggs and Johnny Scruggs Sr. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with Cedar Point Baptist Church in Coffeeville, AL. At the age of 17 , Daisy married Anthony Williams, to this union 5 children were born. They moved to Mobile, AL, where they lived until 1958, ending their marriage of 8 yrs. She later met and married George Sellers where both joined the Starlight Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Frank Young. Daisy served as deaconess until her health started to fail. She departed this life early Saturday morning July 8 , 2023 at 10:30 am at the home of her daughter, Bettye Sumpter in Montgomery, AL. 

Daisy is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers,  Johnny Scruggs , and Clifford Mithchell,  sister Mary Lue Garner.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories, five children, Bettye W. Sumpter of Montgomery, AL , Anthony ( Emma) Williams of Thomasville, AL, Frederick Williams of Coffeeville, AL, Richard ( Pauline ) Williams of Blandon Springs, AL, Marvin L. Williams of Coffeeville, AL, and two step- sons Nathaniel ( Judy) Mc Conico of Mobile, AL and Gary Mc Concio of Mobile, AL, six grandchildren, Josephine M. Bolen of Killen , TX, Billy ( Patricia ) Mitchell of Coffeeville, AL, Zaazaax R. Sumpton of Montgomery , AL, Marvin M. Williams of Birmingham , AL, Cherie Blanks and Ken Blanks of Thomasville, AL, two great granddaughters, Cori Brielle Bailey Killeen , TX  and Tamara La Shay Mitchell of Coffeeville, AL, three brothers, Eugene Scruggs of Burleson , TX Johnny T. Scruggs, and Joseph Scruggs of Mobile, AL , a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
