Daryl Wayne Jones

Daryl Wayne Jones, a native and resident of the Suggsville community, made his earthly transition on April 25, 2023. Daryl was born on June 1, 1968 to Samuel Jones Jr. and Elizabeth Jones in Suggsville. Daryl was an avid Alabama fan. He loved grilling and spending time with family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Lucille and William McGowan, and Samuel Jones Sr. and Lexia Mae Quinney; brother, David Jones; and stepmother, Ruby Jones.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Ayden Crosby of Calfornia, Shamar Jones of Atlanta, Kristen Jones of Flint, Mich., and Kendrell Jones of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; his parents, Samuel Jones Jr. of Whatley and Elizabeth Jones of Pascagoula, Miss.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Cecil (Melissa) Jones of Georgia, Samuel Jones III of Pascagoula, Miss., and Ezell Jones of North Carolina; three sisters, Felicia Wright of New York, Phyllis (Davie) Booker of Birmingham and Paula Jones of Whatley; a very special and dear close friend, Linda Kennon of Walker Springs; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
