Dessie Lee (Tate) Hollins

Dessie Lee Tate Hollins departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2020 at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson, AL. Born March 18, 1931 to John Lee and Martha Davis Tate, she was 89 years of age.

 Dessie was a homemaker but also did housekeeping for others. She was a member of the Mackey Branch #2 Baptist Church in Gosport, AL, where she served as usher president for as she was able.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Martha Tate; her siblings, Tommy C. Tate, Carrie Sanders, Cleo Tate, Henry Tate, Willie B. Minor, Silas Tate, Mary Tate, and Evelean Christian; one grandchild; one greatgrandchild; and stepdaughter, Cynthia Scott.

Left to forever cherish her precious memories are her husband, Charlie Hollins, Gosport, AL; daughter, Willie (Bryant) Jones, Dixon Mills, AL; three sons, George Edward (Arolina) King, Lower Peach Tree, AL, William Lewis (LeDora) King and Jerry Hollins, both of Gosport, AL; a stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Wilson, Pensacola, FL; a stepson, Lewis Hollins, Gosport, AL; thirteen grandchildren; fiftheen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
