Diane Chapman

Diane Chapman, a resident of the Zimco community, joined her heavenly Father Thursday, April 7, 2022. She was born to the late Jessie Ree Chapman and William Poe on March10, 1954 in Grove Hill. Diane confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Baptist Church in Grove Hill. She attended Wilson Hall, and retired from Haven Assisted Living Facility. Diane loved cooking, spending time with family and attending church before declining health. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny Earl, Ishman and Evander Luther Chapman.

Left to cherish her blessed memories is one daughter, Lenora Rochelle Chapman of Grove Hill; two sons, Nathan O’Neal (Veronica) of Montgomery and LeDerrick Antwan (Stephanie) Chapman of Grove Hill; four sisters, Carolyn Sue Chapman of California, Rosie Lee Bernard, Alesa (Floyd) Davis and Anthonell Chapman, all of Grove Hill; four brothers, Virgil Chapman and John Chapman, both of Grove Hill, Dwight Poe of Gainestown and Charles Poe of Mobile; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one devoted grandson, Jayden Chapman; with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Service will be Saturday, April 16, 1:30 p.m., at Mt. Zion No. 2 Baptist Church in Grove Hill. The Rev. William Jackson, pastor and the Rev. Andre Creighton will be eulogist. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery of Grove Hill.
