Dickie Dickinson Obituary

Dickie Lyvell Dickinson, 52, of Huntsville, husband of Kimberly Alonzo Dickinson, passed away peacefully at
his home on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025. He was born on July 8, 1972, to Dorothy McReynolds and Melvin Dickinson
of Jackson.
Dickie Dickinson was a devoted and loving husband, a cherished father, a beloved son, a dear brother, and a
treasured friend to many.
He possessed a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing, and was a talented cook and grill master. Known for
his quick wit and infectious laughter, he brought joy to everyone he encountered.
He was a passionate fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Dallas Cowboys. He dedicated his professional life
to a successful nuclear career as an I & C Tech, later transitioning to a Nuclear Test Engineer, spanning many years.
He made lasting friendships and touched countless lives throughout his career.
Dickie was the proud owner of Dickinson's Tax Service, where he found immense satisfaction in helping others
and pouring into the lives of countless individuals. He enjoyed taking care of those he loved and cherished, bringing
smiles to the faces of everyone he met.
Dickie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Arcola and Mose McReynolds, and Retha and James Bettis.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kimberly Alonzo Dickinson; his parents, Dorothy McReynolds
and Melvin Dickinson of Jackson; his son and daughters, Desmond Dickinson of Jackson, Yasmine Dickinson and
Aaliyah Dickinson, as well as Monike Barnes of Fayetteville, N.C., and Victoria Alonzo of Vidalia, Ga.;
grandchildren, Laylani Dickinson, Kaiden Dickinson, Bella Edwards and Jalessia Edwards; siblings, Derrick
McReynolds and Darrien Burnes of Jacksonville, Shantrice (William) Burns of Montevallo, LaRetha Hadley of
Bessemer, Avery Hadley of Fayetteville, N.C., and Courtney (Titus) Jackson of Jackson; aunts and uncles, Arnell
and Marynell McReynolds of Brooklyn, N.Y., LC (Bobby) and Johnny (Helen) of Fayetteville, N.C., Jane James of
Jackson, Carrie (TC) Reed, Jackie (Van) Reed of McIntosh and Teresa Bettis of Los Angeles, Calif., along with a
host of additional family and friends.
