Dora Roberts

Dora Lee Lang Roberts, a native of the Cortelyou, AL and a resident of Calvert, AL, was born June 2, 1955, to the parentage of Ethel Lee Norwood Lang and Reaf Lang Sr. Dora gained her wings Friday morning, March 20, 2026, at 3:00 am.

Dora Early in life Dora united with the Lewis Grove Baptist in Wagarville and later in life united with the Mt, Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithful member and served faithfully in the choir. Some of her favorite songs was, "Just Another Day That the Lord Has Kept Me "

Dora was a graduated of Leroy High School Class of 1973. She was famous throughout the community for pasta salad and peach cobbler

Dora's employment always lined up with her passion. She worked as a Dietary Supervisory with Valley Services from 1986-2002. Health Care Work from 2009- 2012. Dietary Supervisor/CNP at Belsaw Middle School from 2012 - 2016 until it closed. She secured employment with McDavid Elementary School until on March 19, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Reaf Lang Sr., grandparents, Jim and Ledora Norwood. two brothers; George and Reaf Lang Jr; nephews, Justin Barnes; brothers-in-law, Charles Barnes, Herman Ferrell and Purvis Barnes.

Dora leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories to her four sisters. Nellie Barnes of Calvert, AL, Mattie (James) Austin of Prichard, AL, Georgia Ann Ferrell of Saraland, AL and Dorothy (Sterling) Barnes of Calvert, AL ; two brothers ; Jimmy (Elviira) Lang of Saraland , AL and Tommie (Jackie) Lang of Mt. Vernon, AL; one aunt, Jackie Kimbrough of Wagarville , AL like sisters, Shirley (Joe) Thomas and Felicia (Levi) Hunt; Godchildren; Samanthan Love, Etyra Pressley, Paris Sargent, Jayceon Butler, a devoted cousin, Kirtrice Lang; a close friend, Tamara Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.
