Sister Dorothy Lee Jackson Bush, was born March 25, 1950, the second child born to the union of Mr. George Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Ora B. Jackson in Mount Vernon, Al. She transferred to her heavenly home Wednesday, December 18, 2025, surrounded by her family in Mount Vernon.
Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Al under the leadership of the Rev. Bats. Presently, her membership was with Little Sunflower No. 3 Baptist Church in Sunflower, Al under the leadership of her husband, Pastor Lee E. Bush, Jr.
Dorothy was educated in the Mobile County Public School System, graduated from Rosa A. Lott High School in the Class of 1968 in Citronelle, Al. "Dot" as she is affectionately known, was retiree of Gulf Lumber Company over a span of 35 years of dedicated service.
She was a former member of the City of Mobile Bowling League and enjoyed fishing and going to church
Dorothy was united in Holy Matrimony to Lee E. Bush, Jr. on September 20, 1986.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs., George Jackson Sr. and her sister, Mrs. Georgia Hayes.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her legacy and her precious memories to cherish her loving and devoted husband, Pastor Lee E. Bush Jr. of Mount Vernon, AL; devoted daughter, LaLisa Williams of Mobile, AL; two sons: Terris Wayne Johnson of Mount Vernon, AL and LaBarron ( Tiffany) Johnson of Mobile, AL; four bonus children: MSgt Derrick Bush of Pascagoula, MS, Jacqueline Bush, Lakeysha Bush and LeDamion Law all of Jackson, AL; seven grandchildren.: Kiara Williams, Kyesha Williams, Kaylan Williams, Terris Wayne McQueen, Porscher Law, Tyler Johnson, and Ajiyah Johnson; twenty-four bonus grandchildren and many, many great - grandchildren; one brother, George Jackson Jr; two sisters; Katie Bolden, and Debra (Mike) Bush Sr. all of Mt Vernon, AL; one aunt, Edwina (Gregory) Hubbard ; two brothers-in-law; Theodore Hayes Jr. and Bobby (Angela ) Bush Sr. ; three sister-in-law ; Elizabeth Daffin, Mary Bush and Janice Bush; two godchildren, LaKendra Leverett and Janeal Flott; devoted friends; Rev. Jessie (SIS. Edna) Lowe Jr.; favorite Deacons, Willis Collins, Clinton Collins Sr., and Clint Brown Jr.; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
