Dorothy Mae Morris

Dorothy Mae Gaston Morris a life long resident of the Jackson community, made earthly transition on Friday September 8 while at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile. She was born on June 14, 1963 to Russie Gaston  and Bush Dumas. Early in life Dorothy united with the Mt.Olive No. 2 Baptist Church.  Dorothy loved fishing, flowers, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her family, especially her grands and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father, Bush Dumas, sister, Betty Gaston, brother, Earnest Lee Gaston, daughter in law, Eboni Brown; two brother in law,Edward  James Morris, and Johnnie Morris ,sister in law, Mary Morris Bell.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 45yrs. Allen Morris, Sr, mother, Russie Gaston; her children, Tanneshia Gaston, Allen (Angela) Gaston, Danika Gaston, Lenard Gaston, Allen(Shelia) Morris, Jr., Nechelle( William) Reed, Elizabeth Johnson and Stephanie Johnson. Five sisters, Parthenie Gaston, Stacy Gaston, Sandra Faye Dumas, Terry Durham and Lola Boyd; seven brothers, Andrew (Katherine) Gaston, William(Penny) Gaston,Richard(Charlene) Gaston, Nathaniel Gaston, Walter Gaston, Darryl (Aleshia) Dumas and Jerry (Tarical) Dumas. A host grandchildren and great grandchildren, three brothers - in law ,Larry ( Mary) Morris, Larry (Arjulia) Morris, Jimmy (Shirley ) Morris, one sister - in law , Anette Morris, along with a host of nieces,nephews. Devoted friends, Brenda Waters, Johnita Kimbrough, Etta Williams and Carla Thomas.
