Duane Paul Woolwine

Duane Woolwine of Jackson, AL, native of Elkhart, IN, passed away on May 11, 2026. Duane was born on January 21, 1953 in Bluefield, WV. 

He was the first born of Paul and Ailene Woolwine. He graduated from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, IN and went on to work in the production and maintenance field throughout his life. Duane was known for his quietness and gentleness. He loved hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. 

He is survived by his wife, Aretha (Foxx) Woolwine, two sons Duane (McKenzie) Woolwine Jr of Elkhart, IN, and William Ivory of Jackson, AL, three daughters, Heather (Timothy) Chupp, Courtney Dolittle and Vanessa Shultz all of Elkhart, IN, two step-daughters, Heather Lance of Elkhart, IN and Ashley Ivory of Jackson, AL, two sisters, Brenda (Doug) McDaniel and Diane Hively, both of Elkhart and a host of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Bonnie Wogoman.
