Edward Lee Cunningham Jr.
Edward Lee Cunningham Jr., better known to family and friends as "Piba," of the Winn community, traded time for eternity on Sunday April 4, 2021 at his residence. He was born Sept. 15, 1966 to Edward Cunningham Sr. and Onnie Mae Pugh Cunningham. Early in life, he was a member of Berry's Chapel AME Zion Church. He was a member of the graduating Class of 1984 of Coffeeville High School. Edward loved music and playing the drums; he was also a great mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Scottie Pugh and Matthew Cunningham; sister Valerie Pugh; paternal grandparents, Cassie B. Moseley and Elijah Cunningham Sr.; maternal grandparents, Wallace Pugh and Gladies Pugh; and uncles, Odell Pugh, Wallace Pugh Jr. and Cecil Cunningham.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted mother, Onnie Mae Pugh of Jackson; daughter, Pasha Cunningham; one grandson, Nehamiah B. Cunningham, both of Navarre, Fla.; one devoted sister, Roselyn (Dennis) Pugh of Jackson; four brothers, Willie (Sabrina) Cunningham of Thomasville, Carl (Kim) Cunningham of Stateline Miss., Ervin Cunningham of Canton, Ohio, and Jammie Lee Cunningham of Jackson; five aunts, the Rev. Linda (AD) Hollinger, Marie White, Toni Mark, Adell Cunningham and Glenda White; three uncles, Ronnie Pugh, Sylvester Pugh and Elijah Cunningham Jr.; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, April 9, from 2 until 6 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St. Jackson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 10 a.m., at Berry's Chapel AME Zion Church, 2685 Berry's Chapel Road, Jackson.
