Egypt Wlliams Obituary

Mr. Egypt Williams, age 52, a native and resident of Manila, was born April 20, 1968 to the late Nelson Williams and the late Jennie L. Fox. He departed this life Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020 at his residence.

Egypt, also known as “Rev” or “Egypt Pop” was very well known throughout the community. His hobbies consisted of singing, dancing and riding horses.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were three sisters, Inell Thompson, Shirley Harper and Genevia Williams; and one brother, Derrick Lewis.

His memories will be loved and cherished by his devoted wife, Tanya Williams of Manila; three children, Roman Williams of Alma, Shawaun Brown (Tanidah) of Manila and Keyanna Johnson of Jackson; six stepchildren, Earl Phillips of Tennessee, DeMichael Whittaker of Washington, JaQuissa Bryant of Virginia, Lekedria Bryant, Gary Bryant Jr. and Jamaal Bryant, all of Manila; 10 grandchildren and five godchildren; mother-in-law, Dorothy Phillips of Alma; nine sisters, Mary (Frank) Jackson of Alma, Lucender Williams, Millie (Sam) Hunt, Althea (Douglas) Leggett, Corine (Greg) Bryant and Annette Fox, all of Gainestown, Terrie Keets of Indiana, Aldonia (Johnny) McClain of Manila and Jessie (Leroy) Rivers of Grove Hill; three brothers, Milton Collison of Indiana, Jimmy (Christine) Fox of Gainestown and Albert Williams of Dallas, Texas; two aunts, Francis Hunt and Iver Hunt, both of Alma; two uncles, Frank Williams and Jefferson (Minnie) Williams, both of Alma; one sister-in-law, Ida Lewis of Alma; devoted friends, Cyrus Wright, Darryl Jones, Marvin Foxx, Willie Wright, Ted Rivers, David Jackson, Dwight Poe, Roy Davis, Deemetrius Hunt, David Williams, Marquise Land, Gary and Vickey Myers; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
