Ella Louise West Brown, a lifelong resident of Walker Springs, AL was born September 8, 1929, to Reverend James Alexander and Sallie Gladys West. She made her earthly transition on Tuesday , December 16, 2025, while at Jackson Medical Center.
Ella Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined and worshiped at the Saint Luke Baptist Church her entire life. She was the oldest member! Her favorite hymns were "Amazing Grace and What Friend We Have in Jesus"
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend James Alexader and Sallie Gladys West; her son; Bobby Ray Brown; grandson, Adam James Leggett; brothers; Alexander "Jack " West, Elbert Harold West, Alfred " Pete" West and Robert West; sisters; Martha West Davis, Mary West Lumbers and Geraldine West; and a sister-in-law, Anna Jean Perine West.
Ella Louise leaves to cherish her precious memories, to her : Nathaniel West of Jackson, AL , Sharon West of Bronx, NY, Bernice Leggett of Walker Springs , AL, and Marvin (Carla) West of Summerville , SC ; eight grandchildren and six great -grandchildren; four brothers; Joel Columbus West , and Charlie (Linda) West of New York, Willie Clarence (Rosalyn) West of Fayetteville, NC, and Prince (Renee) West of Summerville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , other relatives and friends.
