Frazier Edgar, Sr. departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2019 while at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. Born April 2, 1955 to Ernest and Essie Lee Pugh Edgar, he was 64 years of age.
He was a faithful member of the Clarksville AOH Church in the Mt. Zion Community of Grove Hill, AL where he served as a deacon and guitarist. Frazier was loving and caring to his children and grandchildren. Spending time with family, laughing, making others laugh, playing his guitar, drinking coffee, watching westerns and visiting with his neighbors were a few things that were very special to him. A friendly man, he believed in serving the Lord even when he didn’t feel well.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Jonetta C. Edgar; parents, Ernest and Essie Edgar; and brother, Thomas Earl Chapman.
Left to forever cherish his precious memories are three daughters, Christine (Maurice) Jones and Shaquatta (Justin) Edgar Bush, both of Jackson, AL, and Shaquanna (Anthony) Burroughs, Fort Hood, TX; three sons, Jeraine Edgar and Christopher Edgar, and Frazier Edgar, Jr., all of Grove Hill, AL; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Lee Chapman and James Edgar, both of Grove Hill, AL, Hugo (Fannie) Chapman and Ernest (Sonya) Edgar, Jr., both of Long Beach, CA; three sisters, Ethel “Sister” Foreman, Mt. Vernon, AL, Nettie Creighton, Coffeeville, AL, and Rosie Malone, Grove Hill, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
