George Robert Gilmore

George Robert Gilmore, a native of Salitpa and resident of the Zimco community of Grove Hill made his earthly transition July 31, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1921 to the parentage of Arco Pugh Gilmore and George Gilmore. He was a life-long member of St. Paul Baptist Church. He loved being around his family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Sarah L. Gilmore, and daughter Wanda Faye Gilmore, brothers Emmitt, Walter G., and A.B. Gilmore; sisters, Ronnie M. Griffin, Boydee Calhoun, Bessie Bracy and Mattie Hall and granddaughter Crystal Gilmore.

Left to cherish his loving memories are three sons, Robert L. Gilmore of Grove Hill, Johnnie Swanson of Mobile and Tommie Jackson of Flomaton; one grandchild; one sister, Cloradean Kennedy of Mobile; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
