George Williams, a resident of the Toddtown community, made his earthly transition on May 1, 2025 while at USA Providence Hospital in Mobile. George was born Aug. 4, 1958 to the union of James Williams Sr. and Willadean Rocker Williams.
Early in life George united with Old St. Matthews Baptist Church in Jackson. George was a very quiet person who didn't talk very much but he enjoyed being with his family.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Reba Roper Williams; son, Marcus Dewayne Roper; his brothers, James Williams Jr., Arnel Williams and Jimmy Lee Williams; and nephew, Barry Hurd Jr.
Left to cherish his memories is his devoted and caring sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Barry Hurd Sr.; stepdaughter, Avis (Terrell) Roper Carter; two step-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, L.C. Roper, John Henry Roper, the Rev. Tommie Earl Roper Sr., Thelma (Johnny) Henry, Gloria (Willie) Smiley, Charles Roper, Ruby Roper and Betty Grayson Williams; one aunt, Lela Sanders; with a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
