Grady Wayne Daffin

Mr. Grady Wayne Daffin was born May 23, 1944 in the Toddtown community of Grove Hill, to Barbara Joyce Todd and Joe Daffin Jr. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Stepfather; Barbara (Asberry II) Daffin, Father Joe Daffin, Jr., Brothers; Kendal Daffin and Larry Dunham and sister Diane Dunham.

Grady attended school in Grove Hill and Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 until relocating to California. Following graduation, he moved to Oakland, Calif., where he worked at the Oakland Post Office as a mail handler and then as a construction worker for many years.

Remaining to mourn his passing is one son, Christopher Everett Daffin Sr.; god-daughter, Sharee Jackson; eight sisters, Lela James, Joan Bowe, Carolyn Scott, Marilyn Crum, Helen (Willie) Woodard,   Linda Dubose, Barbara Tigner and Wynona Young; six brothers, Bobby (Cynthia) Daffin, Ferdinand (Betty) Pugh, Joe (Georgina) Daffin III, Asberry (Mary Ann) Daffin III, Yancy (Cassandra) Daffin and Roosevelt (Stephanie) Daffin; two grandchildren, Christopher Everett Daffin Jr. and Alysia Renee Daffin; two nephews he had a special bond with, D Kelly James & Elizabeth Jordan and Chris L. Daffin; with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friend, Melvin Dickinson.
