Henry Lee Scandrick, a resident of McIntosh, departed this life Thursday, May 21, 2020. Born Sept. 5, 1933 to E.G. Scandrick and Lillie Mae Upshaw Scandrick in Brooks, Ga., he was 86 years of age.
Henry served in the U.S. Army, following an honorable discharge, he relocated to Los Angeles, Calif., where he worked as a professional maintenance technician for the balance of his life.
Henry formed a loving bond with Diane Lewis and was blessed with six children. After retirement he relocated to Wagarville and united with Lewis Grove Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Board.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Jimmy Scandrick and sister, Shirley Scandrick-Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are four sons, Sherman Scandrick, Christopher (Melinda) Scandrick, Paul Scandrick and Orlando (Wanda) Scandrick; two daughters, Latanya Scandrick and Trena Norwood; four stepchildren; half-sister, Stella Jordan; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annie Scandrick; devoted caretaker, Ms. Jackie Mitchell and family; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
