Jacquelyn Harmon Snowden, a resident of the Frankville community, better known to family and friends as "Jackie," made her earthly transition on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1972 to Frankie Harmon and Michael Joe Grimes Sr. At an early age, Jackie united with the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board and always helped out in the kitchen. Jackie had a big heart and she didn't know the word “no.” No matter what you asked her to do, she did it willingly and never would accept any money for what she did for you.
A graduate of Chatom High School, after completing high school she moved to Louisiana where she enrolled in nursing school and received her CNA degree. Jackie returned to Frankville and was hired as a CNA in the Washington County Hospital and Nursing Home for 32 years. During her time at the nursing home, Jackie accepted a part-time job with ECI school where she gained many friends. She also worked as a caretaker for many people in the Frankville and Gilbertown areas.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Frankie Harmon Phillips; sister, Lakeisha Herring; and brother, Steve Herring.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Hank Wayne Snowden Sr.; son, Hank Wayne Snowden Jr.; granddaughter, Emery Snowden; father and stepmother, Joe and Barbara Grimes; stepfather, Ozell Phillip; eight sisters and 10 brothers; one devoted aunt, Minnie Harmon and one great-aunt; two loving uncles, Robert Lewis Harmon and James Henry Harmon, and three great-uncles; two god-children, Shadashia Sleets and Randy Grimes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
