Jacques Antonio Bass

Jacques Antonio Bass, a resident of Quitman, Miss., transitioned from this life Sunday, May 9, 2021 while at University Hospital of Jackson, Miss. He was born on Oct. 23, 1990 to Paula Michelle Bass and Charles Junior McDyess. He was a member of the First Church of Nazarene in Quitman, Miss. Jacques was known for his acts of kindness and heartwarming smile; he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Preceding him in death were his loving mother, Paula Michelle Bass; grandparents, Rose Mary and Marvin Bass; uncles, Tommy Lee Allen, Frank Allen and Johnnie Earl McDyess; aunts, Rita Lynch, Joyce Robinson and Rosie Marie Nelson; and a niece, Trinity Bass.  

Jacques leaves to forever cherish his memories his wife, LaToyia Bass; daughter, Leniya Bass of both of Houston,TC. Charles Junior (Miriuim) McDyess, of Indianapolis, IN; five siblings, Quen Bass of Stonewall, Miss., Terry Bass and Quentez (Quashonda) Bass, both of Coffeeville, Porsha Hicks of Quitman and Rickey Bowling of Indianapolis, Ind.; four nieces, Brendasha Chapman, TaShayla Bass, Kennedy Turman and Dream Sellers; one nephew, Amerion Bradford; aunts, Johnny Kay Harris and Linda Pearl Allen, both of Barnett, Miss., Mary Lynch, Shelly Lynch, Minnie Lynch Nelson, Mary Lynch, Ruby Lynch Young, Amy Lynch Carter and Jessie Lynch Martin, all of Quitman, loving aunts, Velma Strickland, Florence Collins and Willie McDyess, all Desoto, Miss.; uncles, Marcell (Kandice) Simmons of Stonewall, Miss., Lessie Lee Martin of Barnett, Miss., James (Charlotte) McDyess, Leonard McDyess, Willie C. (Marquita) McDyess and Charles Henry (Tiffany) Nelson; a loving god-sister, Sherrena Lindsay; god-mothers, Tony Marie Smith and Tracey Denise Dear; god-father, Alford L. Plummer; special friend, Matthew (Tara) Lee; three loving and devoted cousins, Tamela (Derrick) Stickland, Fredrick Strickland and Daffine Robinson; with a host of other cousins, god-brothers and sisters, and friends.
