Mr. James Henry Harmon, age 72, a lifelong resident of Bigbee, Alabama, departed this life August 20, 2025, at Washington County Emergency Room in Chatom, Alabama.
James was born on June 6, 1953, to the late Celoa Reed Harmon and Joe Frank Harmon. He was a proud graduated of Washington County High School, Class of 1972, James worked many years as a devoted logger and was a faithful member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church until his health declined.
Known for his hardworking spirit and love for family, James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching football, and fishing. His presence brought joy and laughter, and he will be remembered for his kind heart and steady strength.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Harmon; sister, Frankie Phillips; grandson, Marquez Harmon; and nieces, Jackie Snowden and Antrica Woodard.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, James Harmon, Tracy (Marcus) Watson, Regina Harmon (Jeremy) Foster, Mark (Evette) Harmon, DeKelly Harmon, Jamie Echols, and Kirbi Echols; one sister, Minnie Harmon; one brother, Robert (Shirley) Harmon; seventeen grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; aunts and uncles; one brother- in - law, Ozell Phillips; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, including two devoted nephews, Martin Harmon and Timothy Harmon.
