James Morgan Richardson was born on February 24, 1977 to Ruby Richardson and the late Robert "Smokey" Richardson. Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Prestwick, Alabama.
A graduate of Leroy High School, Jimmy attended Selma University on a baseball scholarship before finding his calling as an electrician. His career allowed him to work in various states over many years, where he formed countless friendships.
Jimmy was a man of many passions. From an early age, he loved baseball. He often played catch with his siblings, cousins, and peers. He also found extraordinary joy in fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, and spending time with his friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Smokey" Richardson and two sisters, Evelyn "Cookie" Balestier and Ophelia Leffler.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Ruby Richardson; four brothers, Robert Richardson Jr., Anthony (LaSandra) Richardson, Winferd (Stephanie) Richardson, and Ronnie (Emma) Richardson; and seven sisters, Anise (Edward) Daffin, Sandra Richardson, Brenda (Flim) Ramsey, Mary Richardson, Alicia (Clifton) Patterson, Melanie (Christopher) Houston, Edna Billingsley, and Debbie Richardson.
Jimmy is also survived by his stepchildren, JLyn and Jaheem Taylor; his caring former wife, Omega Taylor; two devoted nephews, Mario Powell and Edward Daffin, II; devoted cousins, Doug and Jamie Yelder; and his unwavering friends Marcus Worthy and Walter “Carseta” Collins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
