Janie Lucille Moore MARCH 31, 1949 – MARCH 16, 2026 Affectionately known as “Cile”
Mrs. Janie Lucille Moore, a native of the Good Hope Community in Walker Springs, AL, was born March 31, 1949 the second child born to the late Janie B. Moye in Grove Hill, AL. She exchanged life for eternity on Monday, March 16, 2026. Cile confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant in the church choir. She grew up rooted in the traditions of Good Hope, forming lifelong bonds and a deep love for her hometown. She never met a stranger, she greeted everyone with her warm and contagious smile. She’s known for her nurturing spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Cile was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janie B. Moye; and brother, Roosevelt “Boot” Williams. Cile leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband, Henry Earl Moore, Sr.; a dedicated sister, Shirley A. Leggett; two brothers-in-law: Curlee Leggett and Mose Moore Jr.; a supportive and loving cousin, Clevera “Babysister” Creer; and a large extended family, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Cile leaves five adoring children to continue her legacy: Eldon (Dottie) Creer, Faye (Fred) Leggett, Tenia White, Terry Moore, Sharee (EK) Stewart. Also, whom she loved as her own: Henry (Stacy) Moore, Jr. and Jackie (Tom) Gurley; grandchildren: Eldon Jr. (Chelsea), Courtney (Kenny), Brandon, DJ, Cedric, Jasmine (Quincy), Aleah, Temarah, Omari, Se’Koya, Savion, Sage, Kierra (Wendall), Emmanuel, Tommy and TaQuan; great-grandchildren: Maya, Eleven, Majhesty, Kennedy, Harley, Simone, Syier, Sa’Khi, Tre, Amina, Ta’Syiah, Tommy Jr., Elijah, Jeremiah, Hezekiah and Malachi; Throughout her life Cile remained devoted to her family and community. She found joy in the simple pleasures, in fellowship with loved ones, and in creating lasting memories with those closest to her. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought light, and her legacy is one of love, resilience, and faith.
