A faithful and dedicated member of The Church of the Living God in Coffeeville, she was also a graduate of Coffeeville High School in the Class of 1972. After receiving her nursing certification, she worked for the Clarke County Health Department as a nurse for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Grady Bernard Gould; two brothers, Author Mitchell and Billy Duff; and grandson, Javoni Gould.
