Jessie Lee Williams, a native and resident of Jackson, better known to family and friends as "Gator or Dog," made his earthly transition on Saturday, June 12, 2021 while at Jackson Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1946 to Alma Lee Nobles and Horace Williams Sr. Jessie was 74 years of age.
Jessie enjoyed spending time with his family, driving trucks, fishing, hunting and dancing.
Preceding him in death were his father; stepfather, Luther Crowell Sr.; brother, Frank Williams; and his daughter, Tracey Williams.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving mother, Alma Crowell of Jackson; daughters, Rhonda Williams of Atlanta, Ga., and LeAndrick Goodwin of Jackson; son, Terrance (Tabitha) Goodwin of Mobile; brothers, L.C. (Shelia) Crowell of Jackson, Ronnie (Elaine) Crowell of Charleston, S.C., Luther (Wilma) Crowell Jr. of St. Stephens, Tim (Judy) Prater of Georgia and Horace (Lemetric) Williams of Jackson; sisters, Kittrell (Johnnie) Barnes of Jackson, Alexandria (Walter) Bluing of Nashville, Tenn., Mary Toliver of Mobile and Marciana Williams of Moss Point, Miss.; longtime devoted companion of 30 years, Marion Goodwin of Jackson; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; devoted aunt and uncle, Edna (James) Dubose and John (Dora) Nettles; with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, including special friends, J.C. (Barbara) Gordon and the Gambles, Raine and Darrington families.
